Interisle has been involved in many areas of wireless communications. Our Principal Fred Goldstein is the FCC Technical Consultant to the Wireless ISP Association, where he supports the WISP industry in regulatory proceedings involving existing and new frequency band applications.
He has supported the industry at the standards group WInnForum and worked with its legal team on many FCC proceedings, both in drafting Comments and in discussions with the FCC staff itself.
Other wireless activities include design and budgeting of fixed wireless networks, which can provide broadband service to remote areas at a fraction of the cost of and in a much shorter time frame than pulling fiber. We can also provide coverage studies and gap analyses for fixed and mobile networks, both cellular and private land mobile, and design cost-effective and resilient private microwave links and networks. We have helped several local governments evaluate mobile tower applications to determine if they are likely to provide the claimed coverage and whether alternative towers or tower sites would also be adequate. We have also designed Wi-Fi coverage networks for public venues.
